Das Muster aus Chernigov modern umgesetzt
Manche Muster fordern mich geradezu heraus, sie neu zu interpretieren und in eine andere Technik umzustezen.
Das Muster aus Chernigov, Ukraine (10. Jhd) gehört dazu und ich habe es mit einem ausgelassenen Einzug gewebt.

Some patterns inspire me to do more than just the reconstruction. I want to do something with another weaving technique. In this case I did the pattern as missing hole. If you want to read more of the historic band, you will find information here.
Für dieses Band habe ich insgesamt 20 Brettchen verwendet, davon 10 Musterbrettchen. Als Kettfaden kam gelbe und grüne pflanzengefärbte Wolle zum Einsatz. Für den Schussfaden habe ich grüne Wolle verwendet. Die fertige Borte ist etwa 1,6 cm breit.
For this band, I used a total of 20 tablets, including 10 pattern tablets. The warp consists of yellow and green naturally dyed wool. I used green wool for the weft. The finished band is approximately 1.6 cm wide.
