Die Motive des Gürtels aus dem 14. Jahrhundert wurden ursprünglich in einer wesentlich komplizierteren Technik mit deutlich mehr Brettchen und zusätzlicher Broschierung gewebt.
Weil mir die Motive jedoch so gut gefallen, habe ich mich entschieden, sie in vereinfachter Form nachzuweben.

The motifs on the 14th-century belt were originally woven using a much more complicated technique, with considerably more tablets and additional brocading.
However, I liked the motifs so much that I decided to weave a simplified version of them. More information about the original and my weaving can be found on my blog.
Für meine Nachwebung verwendete ich 36 Brettchen, davon 32 Musterbrettchen, und rote und gelbe Seide Nm 22. Die Borte wurde in der Technik des ausgelassenen Einzugs (Missing Hole) gewebt und ist etwa 1,9 cm breit.
For my version, I used 36 tablets, including 32 pattern tablets, and red and yellow Nm 22 silk. The band was woven using the missing-hole technique and is approximately 1.9 cm wide.
