This band is inspired by a historical source.
The motif is based on a tablet-woven belt fragment from Cambridge (United Kingdom). Its date is unclear; the fragment is thought to date either from the 5th/6th century or the late Middle Ages.
Ich habe lediglich das Diamantmotiv übernommen und daraus ein Band in Flottierungstechnik entworfen und gewebt.
Das Band wurde aus Seide Nm 11 mit 11 Brettchen gewebt und ist 0,8 cm breit. Das Muster ist ein eigener Entwurf.
Als Vorlage diente die Website von Shelagh Lewins. Grundlage meiner Arbeit war der Informationsstand der Website aus dem Jahr 2014.
I have simply adopted the diamond motif and used it to design and weave a band using the flotation technique.
The band was woven from Nm 11 silk using 11 cards and is 0.8 cm wide. The pattern is my own design.
