Eine Borte mit Star Wars Motiven
Ich bin mit Star Wars groß geworden. Eine meiner ersten Erinnerungen an die Filme ist, als ein Nachbar für alle Kinder eine Super 8 (Schmalfim) Vorführung der Episode IV machte. Stark gekürzt, aber auf einer Leinwand.
Und das kann dann passieren, wenn man einer Freundin ein Buch mit Strickanleitungen zum Thema Star Wars schenkt: einige Motive gefallen so gut, dass man das Muster umschreibt und dann eine Borte dazu webt.
I grew up with Star Wars. One of my first memories of the films is when a neighbour did a Super 8 (cine film) screening of Episode IV for all the kids. Heavily shortened, but on one screen.
And that's what can happen when you give a friend a book of Star Wars-themed knitting instructions: you like some motifs so much that you rewrite the pattern and then weave a band to go with it.
Ich hatte ein wenig mit dem Gestalten der Motive experimentiert und mich dann für 31 Musterbrettchen in grau und weiß entschieden. Aufgekettet hatte ich es mit grauer und weißer Wolle, dabei ist der Kontrast nicht so stark geworden, wie ich erwartet hatte, aber mir gefällt es.
Farbliche Tupfer setzt der Rand mit grünen und roten Fäden, dazu habe ich die Fransen geflochten und mit roter Wolle umwickelt.
I experimented a little with the design of the motifs and then decided on 31 pattern boards in grey and white. I had strung it with grey and white wool, the contrast was not as strong as I had expected, but I like it.
The border is a touch of colour with green and red threads, I braided the fringes and wrapped them with red wool.
