Ein weiteres Siegelband aus Durham
Von den insgesamt 5 Siegelbändern, die zur Bibliothek der Durhamer Universität gehören, ist dies das Band 3.
Es entstand zwischen 1189-1196 und wurde in Köpertechnik gewebt.
Insgesamt wurden 4 mehr oder weniger phantastische Tiermotive gewebt. Als Material wurde auch hier feine Seide verwendet.
Of the 5 seal tags belonging to the Durham University library, this is band 3.
It was created between 1189-1196 and was woven using the 3/1 broken twill technique.
A total of 4 more or less fantastic animal motifs were woven. Fine silk was also used as the material here.
Das Band hatte eine Breite von 1,8 cm, ich habe es mit NM22 Seide nachgewebt und eine Breite von 3 cm erreicht
Laut Artikel wurde es mit 52 Brettchen gewebt, ich hatte mich für 51 Brettchen entschieden.
The band had a width of 1.8 cm, I rewove it with NM22 silk and achieved a width of 3 cm.
According to the article it was woven with 52 tablets, I had decided on 51 tablets.
