Bereits 2016 bevor Claudia Wollny ihr Buch Lilienhain veröffentlichte hatte ich mir das Band aus Arlon vorgenommen und einige Motive kleiner geschrieben (87 Musterbrettchen im Original ist wirklich anspruchsvolles weben). Bei einer Musterbreite von 17 Brettchen kann man schon einiges machen, aber es sind nur 'kleine' Motive geworden.
Ich habe mich in der Farbgestaltung an die Borte von Arlon gehalten und rot und blau (industriell gefärbt) mit weiß in Seide kombiniert.
In 2016 bevore Claudia Wollny published her book 'A lily grove' I wanted to make the patterns of the band from Arlon smaler (the find has 87 tablets in the pattern part). With 17 tablets for the pattern are some motives possible but they are only small.
I deceided to use the same colours as in the historical band and used red, blue (industrial dyed) and white silk.
Das Band ist irgendwann eine wilde Mischung aus selbst geschriebenen Motiven, wie die Hasen hier, und Motiven aus Claudias Buch geworden, da ich einfach nur noch mit der Borte fertig werden wollte. 2020 habe ich sie dann fertig gestellt.
At some point, the band became a wild mixture of motifs I had designed myself, such as the rabbits here, and motifs from Claudia’s book, because by then I simply wanted to get the band finished. I finally completed it in 2020.
Dieses Motiv ist von einer broschierten Borte aus dem 10. Jhd. Dublin inspiriert worden.
