Eine weitere Borte aus Thorsberg
Fragmente F.S. 3698 & NM24822

Dies ist ein anders Textilfragment aus Thorsberg. Es wurde genau wie die anderen Fragmente in die erste Hälfte des dritten Jahrhunderts n.Chr. datiert.

Wahrscheinlich gehörte diese Borte auch zu einem Mantel, Schlabow sprich von einem Mantelrest.
Insgesamt gibt es hier 2 Fragmente der Borte: eines wird in Schloss Gottorf aufbewahrt, das andere im Dänischen Nationalmuseum
Laut Beschreibung von Raeder-Knudsen haben beide Fragmente einen Webfehler, die eine Zuordnung eindeutig macht.
Die Borte ist ca. 7,5 cm breit.

This is another textile fragment from Thorsberg. Like the other fragments, it has been dated to the first half of the third century AD.
This border probably also belonged to a cloak, Schlabow speaks of a remnant of a cloak.
There are two fragments of the border here: one is kept in Gottorf Castle, the other in the Danish National Museum
According to Raeder-Knudsen's description, both fragments have a weaving fault, which makes it easy to identify them.
The border is approx. 7.5 cm wide.

Ich habe das Muster 2024 mit NM20/2 Wolle mit Walnußfärbung, Faulbaumfärbung und weißer Wolle nachgewebt. Mit knapp 5,0 cm Breite ist das Band viel zu schmal. 16/2 Wolle wäre wahrscheinlich die bessere Wahl, aber da hatte ich nicht die passenden Farben. 

I have rewoven pattern 2024 with NM20/2 wool with walnut dyeing, alder buckthornvdyeing and white wool. At just under 5.0 cm wide, the ribbon is far too narrow. 16/2 wool would probably be a better choice, but I didn't have the right colours.
