Das Strumpfband aus Ravattula Ristimäki/Finnland
Das Grab aus dem Anfang des 13. Jhd. liegt in der Nähe von Kaarina im Südwesten Finnlands. Von etwa 400 Gräbern wurden zwischen 2010 und 2016 61 untersucht. Alle Gräber sind entweder christliche Bestattungen oder haben zumindest einen christlichen Kontext.
Von den 61 Gräbern wurden in 17 Gräbern Textilfragmente gefunden.
Bei dem Grab hier handelt es sich um ein Frauengrab (41/2016) in dem verschiedene Textilien, rote Strümpfe und eine brettchengewebte Borte gefunden wurde. Alles war aus Wolle. Das bedeutet nicht, dass kein Leinen verwendet wurde, nur dass das Leinen die letzten 800 Jahre nicht überdauert hat.
The grave from the begining of the 13th century is located near Kaarina in southwestern Finland. Out of about 400 graves, 61 were examined between 2010 and 2016.
All graves are either Christian burials or at least have a Christian context.
Of the 61 graves, textile fragments were found in 17 graves.
The grave here is a woman's grave (41/2016) in which various textiles, red stockings and a tablet-woven band were found. Everything was made of wool. This does not mean that linen was not used, only that linen has not lasted the last 800 years.
Es handelt sich um ein schmales Band, das im Original 0,6 cm breit war und mit 8 Brettchen gewebt wurde. auf beiden Seiten war mit einem Brettchen eine Schlauchkannte gewebt worden, die ich in meiner Arbeit nicht berücksichtigt habe.
Es ist eine ganz einfache Borte, wo die Brettchen kontinuierlich in eine Richtung gedreht werden.
This is a narrow band that was 0,6 cm wide in the original and was woven with 8 tablets.
It is a very simple band where the tablets are continuously turned in one direction. On both sides, a tablet had been used to weave a tubular edge, which I did not include in my work.
Ich habe das Band mit NM 20/2 Wolle gewebt und es ist 0,6 cm breit.
I wove the band with NM 20/2 wool and it is 0.6 cm wide.
