Es handelt sich hier um eine Seidenborte aus dem 17. Jhd. die an einem Seidenmantel befestigt ist und im Topkapi Palace Museum, Istambul, Türkei aufbewahrt wird.
Je nach Verwendung am Mantel, ist es unterschiedlich breit. Am Kragen ist es ca. 1 cm breit. Als Verschlussband ist es ca. 0,6 cm breit.
Es ist als Einzugsmuster gewebt.
This is a 17th-century silk braid attached to a silk cloak and held in the Topkapi Palace Museum, Istanbul, Turkey.
Its width varies depending on where it is used on the cloak. At the collar, it is approximately 1 cm wide. Where it serves as a fastening band, it is approximately 0.6 cm wide.
It is woven in a threaded in pattern.
Das Seidenband wurde mit 23 Brettchen gewebt und kontinuierlich in eine Richtung gewebt. Dabei handelt es sich um ein asymetrisches Muster.
The silk ribbon was woven using 23 cards, which were rotated continuously in one direction. The result is an asymmetrical pattern.
Ich habe hier mit Seide NM11 gewebt und mit 1,8 cm breite ist das Motiv viel zu breit geworden.
I wove this using NM11 silk, and at 1.8 cm wide, the motif ended up being far too wide.
